It has better codecs, better image quality for video, better video assist features, 10-bit color etc. Another consideration is that the video autofocus in the a7 IV is light-years ahead of the RIV. It can do eye AF in video and tap to track with the touchscreen.
Thespeed of initial focusing accuracy and AF tracking accuracy with the a7r iii are not quite as good as with the a9, but the iii is a more than capable flight photography camera body.
